WoW - Here I come!

Alright, I know I'm old and I should have been playing World of WarCraft (WoW) ages ago but I just started this pass Sunday.

A couple of friends kept telling me about WoW so I figured after I finished up my Master's at Keller Graduate School of DeVry(please don't laugh at me...that piece of crap DeVry paper is making me get a part-time job because I can't afford the loan payments. God, how much I hate DeVry..I really wish I had applied to real univerisities. I hate them..hate them!!! IF I could kill the people that are making me owe DeVry money I would.) Okay, I'm sorry about my rant, totally off the topic and I am better now(*sighs happily*)

Annnyywayyy, I got the DVD-rom game from one of the computer stores in my neighborhood for like $40. It came with the Burning Crusade extension pack. The time it took to load these 2 DVDs was like 3-4 hours. It was just unbelievable, I was like WTF! I really thought it might take an hour or so, my computer is not slow at all but let's note for future reference: just because information holds on one DVD doesn't mean it will download and install fast.

After everything was installed I created an account and then picked a server to play on. I chose a non-PvP (meaning: no players killing players) server because I'm chickenshit and I don't want ppl killing me for a stupid simple reason like I was standing in their light.

I created a character. I created a female Night-Elf, named TaraMidnight. Good luck on creating a character on a WoW server that has names like Jack and Jill or even fictional characters names: 'Jubilee', 'Mishakal', 'Emerlyn' because I bet you they all have been taken, their variations and also their variations variations have been taken.

I will be posted her stats and a pic of her shortly and then vent - oh, I mean 'talk' about my first few hours playing WoW.

The WoW covers above I got from the World of WarCraft site: www.worldofwarcraft.com/.../trial/index.html

  1. Cloth wearers suck! You needed to pick a hunter or something like that.
