My new Job!!

Well, I started my new job. I am a BI developer for a Wine & Spirits Company. BI (Business Intelligence) is basically just a decorative word for 'Reporting'. I do enjoy the job. The people are really nice and of course I am the only woman in my department of BI. There are really 3 people in the BI department but we are considered part of the IT department. However, there are two IT departments one in Queens & one in Brooklyn. The Brooklyn location has women in it.

I like the company and much, much more benefits than my old job which only had Medical not even Dental benefits. I am not programming anymore but getting familiar with their reporting system and will be doing some support for the system probably in the middle of January. After a few months of helping users I will be getting back into developing.

The pay is much better than my old job and I do not have to commute into the city anymore, which is wonderful! I do have to drive to work but even with traffic it only take about 40 minutes to get to work(20 minutes without traffic). I am actually saving more money now because I make my lunch more often then eat out. I need to save my money considering that my college loans start wanting their money in January. I was thinking that maybe I would go back to school in the evenings just to hold off on paying back my loans, but I'm so sick of school right now. Maybe next year I will feel different.
