He didn't bother call

Yesterday, my ex-boyfriend Don and I started communicating through email. He was feeling crappy that day so I called him at work. He told me he was busy and that he would call me today(yesterday) or tomorrow night. Well, I said no problem. Did he bother call yesterday night? Nope. He made it seem like he was having a rough time that is why I called him. I guess it could not have been that rough if he couldn't even call me the same night, right? Well, I won't be calling him again and I won't be answering his calls for a while. (Yes, I am still hoping.)
