I went to Canada for their Thanksgiving which was Columbus Day. My Aunt and Uncle live in Toronto, Canada so my parents wanted us to visit them before the year is out.
When I was a kid I thought Canada was so boring! Now, that I am an adult I have to give props to my younger self because she was so right! I was there since Friday to Tuesday and I couldn't stand to live there longer than that. Don't get me wrong it was nice to see my Aunt and Uncle but geez the place is cold quiet and I swear the most violence on the news they received was a poor girl that was kidnapped and someone who stole some Toys from Toys-for-Tots Organization. Oh please, NY's crime rate would make Canada cry.
Preparing for our Thanksgiving feast my family and I went to the Canadian supermarket. I think Canada does not really make a big deal regarding their turkey day considering that it took my mom a while to find rolls for the big day. She only found this big bag of rolls. In the states around Thanksgiving you would find rolls the minute you step into the supermarket the attendants will practically be throwing them at you. *laughs. We go to pay for the rolls and the cahsier ask us if we want a bag or not and my mother says, "No, thank you." I go to my Ma and say, "Of course we want a bag." She tells, "We have to pay for the bags." I was like what the fuck! You have to pay for bags at your local supermarket! What the the hell is that. Mind you it is only like 5 cents, but if you have a ton of groceries a week that 5 cents adds up.
The weekend was relaxing though, I caught on leveling in my Nintendo DS games and reading books.
